Cosmetic Rejuvenation Medical Center is offering microneedling. Dermapen treatment with PRP. Micro-needling and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) are a first-class combination of procedures that have many fantastic benefits. They assist your skin to help it look even better than it ever has before. The wonderful thing about these procedures is that they are all natural. PRP for instance, comes from your blood and helps induce growth and puts growth factors back into you. Dermapen’s multi-speed and adjustable needle depths permit the needles to pierce the skin’s layers at 90 degrees and increases the effectiveness of treatments by increasing the absorption of products, generating a smaller amount of pain and downtime for the patient. Dermapen can effectively treat hard-to-reach areas (e.g. in the regions around the eyes, nose, and lips). Because of the vertical delivery, the needles can easily penetrate scar tissue. Dermapen promotes scar-less healing, like fractional laser treatments, IPL, laser resurfacing, and chemical peels, but without the side effects and downtime. The mechanism of injury is a natural process, which makes Dermapen a complete approach to skin therapy. Four main phases of physiological wound response aid in stimulating new healthy tissue growth. First, an inflammatory response (1-3 days), to the initial wound promotes the chemotaxis response and proliferation of fibroblasts. The body’s platelets likewise react to initiate a wound matrix. This response is the beginning phase of cell migration to remove debris and bacteria and stimulate the next proliferative stage. During the second stage (3-5 days), the new fibroblasts, monocytes, keratinocytes of the first stage continue to proliferate and multiply. New collagen will be laid down and deposited with fresh, new tissue formation. Next a fibrotic response (5-20 days), of growth factors are released and fibroblasts release collagen. Lastly, the maturation phase of new healthy skin takes place from day 28 to two years after treatment. Collagens mature and stiffen and the matrix of new tissue shows 80% to full tensile strength.

BENEFITS OF MICRONEEDLING
Needling does not harm the skin (in contrast to such methods as laser resurfacing and chemical peels).
Skin becomes thicker. Collagen and elastin deposition increases.
Any part of the body may be treated.
The healing period is short
Less pricey, less risky and less damaging than laser resurfacing.
Can be safely done on individuals with pigmented or really dry skin.
At times telangiectasia (broken capillaries) also improves, likely because the vessels are ruptured in so many regions that they cannot be repaired.
The method is easy to master using the latest specialized tools and does not necessarily have to be performed by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
Can be done with topical anesthesia for limited areas.
DISADVANTAGES OF MICRONEEDLING
Exposure to blood. The process is relatively bloody.
Needling does not create as much new collagen deposition as laser resurfacing. However, treatment can be repeated and the results are cumulative, so after multiple treatments the results could be similar to to those of laser resurfacing.
Herpes simplex is an atypical complication and individuals are instructed to use a topical antiviral drug if they feel the prickling typical of herpes.
WHAT TO ANTICIPATE AND POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRP with MICRO-NEEDLING:
Throughout the first 1-3 days you will look red (like a sunburn) and your skin may feel warm and taut.
Throughout the first 3 days: use a soft cleanser, sunscreens and gentle moisturizers. Apply 1% hydrocortisone as needed for irritation. Avoid swimming, strenuous activity, working out and sun exposure.
We highly advise that you use TNS essential serum after your treatment to increase the results. We suggest the TNS recovery serum between and after your treatments to quicken and maintain your results.
Avoid makeup, retinoids, glycolic acids, vitamin C products, sunscreens and Essential Serum the first night.
Further instructions when PRP is used: Avoid retinoids for 2 weeks and avoid lasers and IPL treatments to the treated areas for 4 weeks after the treatment (however they may be performed ahead of the treatment.)
