Body Fat Analysis

In Cosmetic Rejuvenation Medical  Center  it is our goal to always keep up with new technologies and help our patients be and feel healthy. Take advantage of our accurate scale Tanita BC-418.

Tanita BC-418 is new generation of Professional Scales which helps to calculate regional body composition. What does this mean? The Tanita BC-418 Segmental Body Composition Analyzer Scale can display and print out a more complete body composition profile with separate body mass readings for the right arm, right leg, left arm, left leg, and trunk. The data produced by this body composition analyzer includes Weight, Body Fat Percentage, Body Fat Mass, Body Mass Index (BMI), Fat Free Mass, Estimated Muscle Mass, Total Body Water and Basal Metabolic Rate.

With the segmental details provided by the BC-418 Segmental Body Composition Analyzer, Tanita utilizes an improved calculation of Basal Metabolic Rate. Instead of simply relying on weight, age and gender, Tanita's proprietary formula, enables the BC418 to take into account Fat Free Mass, providing a higher level of accuracy compared to current BMR formulas. This enables fitness and healthcare professionals to better determine health risk associated with visceral and abdominal fat. .

Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)
Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis "weighs" each of the different kinds of tissue in your body. It measures the amount of muscle and other lean tissue, like your organs, and the amount of fat and water in your body. Bioelectrical impedance analysis is based on the conductive and non-conductive properties that exist in biological tissues. Most of the body's fat-free mass is composed of conductive tissues such as muscle, while fat is part of the non-conductive tissue mass. The volume of these tissues can be estimated from the measurement of the resistance to an applied electric current flowing through the body.

BIA measures the impedance or resistance to the signal as it travels through the water that is found in muscle and fat. The more muscle a person has, the more water their body can hold. The greater the amount of water in a person's body, the easier it is for the current to pass through it. The more fat, the more resistance to the current. BIA is safe and it does not hurt. In fact, the signal used in body fat monitors can not be felt at all either by an adult or child.

Warning: Do not use the body fat monitor function of this product if you have a pacemaker, or other implanted medical device.
